FAQs | Initial Consultation

  • 1. What is the purpose of an initial consultation?

The initial consultation is a crucial first step where we:

    • gather relevant facts about your case.
    • share an initial assessment based on the facts provided.
    • discuss potential courses of action.
    • clear conflict checks.
    • provide a rough estimate of the time and fees involved.

This first meeting is designed to allow us to better understand your situation and for both parties to assess whether the engagement is the right fit.

  • 2. Why is there a fee for the consultation?

The CHF 150 fee reflects the value of the time and expertise dedicated to understanding your case and offering tailored advice during the meeting. If an engagement materializes, the CHF 150 consultation fee will be fully deducted from your first invoice. This means the consultation effectively becomes complimentary as part of our services.

  • 3. Am I obligated to hire the firm after the consultation?

No, there is absolutely no obligation to proceed with our firm after the consultation.

  • 4. Does the initial consultation create an attorney-client relationship?

No, the initial consultation does not establish an attorney-client relationship or attorney-client privilege. However, everything discussed during the meeting is treated with strict confidentiality. Your information will not be shared or used with any third party.

  • 5. I am not finding a suitable slot. How can I book a consultation?

If you matter is urgent, you can schedule your consultation by emailing us directly (info@farlegalfirm.com).

  • 6. Can the initial consultation be held in person?

Consultations are typically conducted remotely to provide flexibility and convenience for our clients. However, an in-person meeting can be arranged upon explicit request, depending on availability. Please let us know your preference when scheduling.

  • 7. What apps are used for remote consultations?

Remote consultations are primarily conducted via Microsoft Teams. However, we are flexible and can use Google Meet or Zoom if you prefer. Please specify your choice when scheduling your appointment.
